New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has opined that the people have the right to cheer for any team they believe in.
In a tweet on Sunday, she said: ” “May the best team win in today’s India vs Pakistan cricket match. Every individual has the right to cheer for whichever team they believe in. So let’s be civil about it.”
India-Pakistan matches have always been an emotionally charged affair and political tension between the two nations has often spilt over even to a game like cricket. The two teams are considered as arch-rivals and it may be recalled that Pakistan has so far not been able to defeat India in a World Cup.
