New Delhi: After singer-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari put up a tweet that Home Minister Amit Shah has been tested negative for COVID-19, officials sources refuted the claim.

Shah, 55, is expected to be tested for coronavirus in the next two days.

Former president of BJP’s Delhi unit Manoj Tiwari, on Sunday morning tweeted that Shah has been tested negative.

This caught everyone’s attention because neither hospital sources or Shah’s family had revealed the same. However, Tiwari later deleted the post.

According to official sources, Shah is asymptomatic and is clearing home ministry files from his Gurugram hospital bed as well as monitoring the internal security through a dedicated team of officers. He is expected to return home next week provided he tests Covid-19 negative.
