Hyderabad: The judge who delivered the verdict on 2007 Mecca Masjid case at the special NIA court in Hyderabad submitted his resignation hours after delivering the verdict.

Judge K Ravinder Reddy had acquitted right-wing activist Swami Aseemanand and four others in the case on April 16, for lack of evidence against the accused.

In the blast that ripped through the mosque during the Friday prayers in 2007, nine people were killed and over 50 injured.
