Amaravati: Actor/politician and chief of Janasena Party, Pawan Kalyan, who has committed several bloopers in his speeches and statements inviting controversies, has yet again invited flak by misquoting the year of Indian independence.

Lashing out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy government completing 100 days, Pawan picked out a scheme called “Amma Vodi” by Jagan government which aims at stressing on education and providing financial assistance of Rs 15000 to one female member of a family.

He dismissed the government’s achievement of “Amma Vodi” scheme, terming it to be ‘unnecessary’ and said that the country was already bestowed with the Right to Education provision in the Indian Constitution, existing since 1940, the year the nation had got independence.

Pawan also committed a blunder by stating that Right to Education was mentioned in Article 21 (A) of the constitution and was implemented in the year 2010.

Soon after the video of his statements went viral, Pawan was trolled saying, “We all know that you’re only 12th pass, but general knowledge need not be aquired from school.”

It can be recalled that earlier, Pawan had made serious allegations of corruption against Telugu Desham Party (TDP) former minister Lokesh (when in power). When it irked the TDP leaders, they had asked for proof from Pawan, who was not able to produce one and had faced humiliation.
