Odisha: Facing charges of murdering his wife, with all his plea claiming innocence falling on deaf ears and after spending one month in jail, Abhaya Sutar decided to take control of his life.

He decided that he will track down his wife Itishree at any cost and the search that lasted for seven years yielded him rich dividen.

Sutar of Chaulia village in Patkura, on Monday was proven not guilty after the police nabbed his ‘dead’ wife living with her lover in a village named Pipili in Puri district.

Abhaya married Itishree Moharana of Samagola village on February 7, 2013, but after two months of marriage, his wife went missing from his house.

All hell broke loose on Sutar when Ithishree’s family alleged him of torturing her for dowry. They even said that Sutar had murdered Ithishree and disposed the body in an unknown location.

Soon, Abhaya was arrested and sent to jail.

However, on securing a bail after a month of arrest, Sutar came out and launched an operation to trace his missing wife so that he is proven innocent.

The seven year long search finally brought him to Pipili, where he found Ithishree living with her lover Rajiv Lochan Moharana.

The police has nabbed both Ithishree and Rajiv and produced them before the Court.

In her statement, Itishree said she had an affair with Rajiv before her marriage and she was forced to marry Abhaya.

Ithishree has two children from Rajiv.

Abhaya said that he is now a relieved man as the tag of being a murderer has been wiped off.
