New Delhi: We are surrounded by brave and strong women on a daily basis. Gone are the days when grieving women stayed at home and bawled their eyes out crying over someone they have lost.
One such brave woman, Major Kumud Dogra, an officer herself and wife of Wing Commander D Vats who died in a crash, was seen performing the funeral rights of her fallen husband. All this was done by Major Dogra with her 5-day-old baby girl in her arms.
A picture capturing the Major along with her new born has gone viral, inciting reverence and solidarity from the netizens for Dogra and her daughter.
Wing Commander D Vats and another IAF officer lost their lives in a tragic incident when the microlight helicopter in which they were travelling, crashed in Majuli island on Feb 15.
It is suspected that the craft crashed due to technical issues. An inquiry into the incident has been ordered.
