Chennai: Congress president Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday said that he has genuine love for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Some people don’t show affection because they are not loved. He (Modi) didn’t get the love he should have had. I genuinely love the PM,” said Rahul Gandhi, addressing a gathering of students in Chennai, adding that he hugged Modi because love is the foundation of every religion.
The PM was talking about me, Congress and how we are filthy and how my father was not a good man. He is so angry that he is not able to see the beauty of the world. So I thought at least from my side I should show him some affection, Indiatoday quoted Rahul Gandhi telling the college students.
He added that he felt no anger, animosity or hatred for PM Modi and went on to say that the 2014 polls and the defeat taught him many lessons.
“I can’t hate Mr Modi. You can’t hate people who teach you things,” the Congress president said.
