Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a person she had befriended on Facebook, in a theater in Hyderabad on Monday. The accused, Kandakatla Bhikshapati, 23 has been arrested by the police.
According to reports, the woman had been to the theatre to watch ‘Padmaavat’ with Bhikshapati. The theater being more or less vacant with only few people present at the show, Bhikshapati is reported to have taken advantage of the situation and raped the girl.
A case has been registered and action has also been initiated against the theatre owner for negligence, police said.
