Ladakh: "The weak can never accomplish peace, only the brave do..... The enemy has seen your fire and fury," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the troops during his surprise visit to a forward post in Ladakh, today, July 3.
Giving out a strong message to China, in reference to the June 15 clash in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed in action, the PM said that the age of expansionism is over.
"This is the age of development. History is witness that expansionist forces have either lost or were forced to turn back," said the Prime Minister.
Boosting the morale of the troops, the PM said that each and every Indian living in any corner of the world knows that the Indian soldiers are capable of safeguarding the nation.
"Your courage is higher than the heights that you are posted now. Your arms are as strong as the mountains that surround you and your determination as immovable as the peak," said the PM.
Tension has sparked off between India and China after the Chinese aggression at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) since early May, which escalated to a deadly brawl on June 15 in which 20 soldiers were killed and over 70 injured.
