Raipur: After the death of former prime minister and senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, his ashes were taken to various parts of the country to be immersed in the different holy rivers.

However, after Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and various other BJP leaders and members took out a procession from Swami Vivekanand airport to the old state BJP headquarters ‘Ekatm Parisar’, ABV’s niece and Congress leader, Karuna Shukla alleged the Chhattisgarh CM of playing politics over the deceased BJP leader’s ashes.

“Raman Singh, in the elections over the last nine year has never once spoken of the work of Atal ji,” she said and added that the CM never once named ABV in his speeches nor did he give him any importance. “But today, they are playing politics over the urn with his ashes,” she added.

Karuna was previously with the BJP till she switched to the Congress party.
