SSLC student from Kaup tests positive for COVID-19

Udupi: An SSLC student of Kaup Taluk in Udupi district has been tested positive for the Coronavirus, on Sunday, June 28.

As per the health officials, the student appeared for two examination- Kannada on June 25 and Mathematics on June 27.

The student’s father was tested positive for coronavirus on June 27 and hence the girl’s throat swab was sent for testing too. The reports have confirmed that the girl is positive.

However, the health officials have said that there is no need of testing of other students as all necessary precautions were in place while conducting the examination.

Moreover separate seating facilities were provided to students having cold, cough and other symptoms.
