Udupi: Rajesh Shetty Alevoor of Namma TV has been unanimously elected as President of Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association and Nazeer Polya of Varthabharati has been elected as General Secretary for the year 2021-2023.
Udupi District Working Journalists’ Association annual general meeting was held at IMA Bhavan hall, on Tuesday, which was presided over by President Ganesh Prasad Pandelu.
After the general meeting of the association, the election was held for the office bearers for the year 2021-23. The election was conducted by the Manjunath official of the Information and Broadcasting department along with Shivakumar.
Umesh Marpalli elected as Hon. Treasurer, Vice presidents Vinay Pais of Kundapur taluk, Balakrishna Poojary Kaup taluk, R B Jagadish of Karkala Taluk, and Joint Secretary as Rajesh Ganiga of Brahmavara taluk. Suresh Yermal elects as Sports Secretary.
The working committee members elected are Pramod Suvarna, Hariprasad Nandalike, Ganesh Saibarakette, Sanjeev Ardi, Santhosh Naik, Uday Kumar Tallur, and Harshini.
Earlier at the general meeting, Santhosh Naik placed the report and Divakar Bhandary placed the accounts of the association and Pundalike Marathe proposed a vote of thanks, Rakesh Kunjoor compered the program.
