Udupi: For the first time, Shri Sugunendra seer of the Puttige Mutt, Udupi performed the Shrinivasa Kalyana Mahotsava in Australia. Thousands of devotees participated in this event which was held at the Shri Venkata Krishna temple in Sydney.
Vidwan Keshava Tadapatri delivered a lecture on the importance of Shrinivasa Kalyana Mahotsava on the occasion.
Speaking to the media, the Puttige seer informed that the idea behind organising this event in Australia was to help the NRIs familiarise the various important celebrations of the Hindu religion.
Over 2,000 locals, mostly Kannadigas attended the event.
