Udupi: The video has gone viral on social media criticizing the action of Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha, who made standing passengers in buses get down citing more people than Covid protocol on Monday, April 19.
While checking buses at Santhekatte, DC made passengers who were standing in buses to get down saying that the number of passengers is more than specified in Covid protocol. This caused inconvenience to many passengers.
The video of a girl student gone viral on social media speaking, “We come to Udupi from the village. If DC makes us get down from the bus, we do not have other buses to reach home. We came to attend our semester exams. If we are late in reaching home, our parents will get worried.”
People alleged that DC left without making alternative arrangements for the passengers.
