Udupi: KMC Manipal Hospital doctors released a health bulletin stating that Pejawar Mutt seer Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji was gradually responding to the treatment.
Dr. Satyanarayan, from the Pulmonology Department, said that the Pejawar seer was suffering from a respiratory disorder and that he was responding to the treatment slowly.
“Pejawar seer is responding to the treatment very slowly. Complete recovery, in this case, may take some time”, he said.
“His health condition was better than the day he was admitted to the hospital. Due to the age factor, the response to the treatment is very slow and his situation is still critical”, said a team of doctors.
The doctors have also informed that they were in constant touch with doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi on the treatment pattern. They have said that the AIIMS doctors have accepted and recognised the treatment that the Manipal Hospital was giving to the pontiff.
It can be recalled that the Pejawar seer was hospitalised after suffering breathing problems on Friday, December 20 morning. As his health condition was getting worse, he was immediately put on a ventilator. The initial health bulletin from Manipal Hospital had confirmed that the seer was suffering from extensive pneumonia and supportive treatment was being extended.
