Karkala : Role of parents is crucial in the academic achievement of students,said Vikram Hegde former president of Taluk Panchayat.
He was addressing the parents meeting held at the High School Department of Bailur Govt College. He said that like teachers, parents too should give attention towards their children’s studies as well as extracurricular activities.
School Development Committee President Malini J Shetty presided over the function. Panchayath member Ramesh Kallotte, Education Officer Bhaskar Shetty, Ananthapadmanabha Pattabhi, SDMC member Shivprasad Bhat, Shubha Bhat, Divya Nayak, Chandrashekar Bhandary and Suryanna Shetty were present.
Manjunath Shetty, physical education teacher who has been appointed as Teacher’s Co-operative Bank President was felicitated on the occasion.
