Man commits suicide after killing wife and two sons

murder suicideUdupi: In a tragic incident, a 52-year-old man killed his wife and two sons before committing suicide on Wednesday, November 28 night. The incident was reported from the Balva village under the Shankar Narayana Police limits of the Kundapura taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Surya Narayana Bhat (52), his wife Manasa (50), sons Sudhindra (14) and Sudesh (8).

Initial reports suggest that Surya murdered his wife and two sons before committing suicide. A complaint in this regard was lodged by Surya Narayana’s younger brother, Prakash Alse, with the Shankar Narayana Police.

Udupi SP Nisha James reached the spot and examined the crime scene. She later said investigations found that Surya Narayana had been struggling with depression for over five years and was being treated for the same at a private hospital in Kundapura.
