Udupi: Laws pertaining to curbing ‘Love Jihad’ will be in place in the state without fail, assured Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

The minister, while speaking to reporters in Udupi, on Thursday, Dec 3 said that the Allahabad high court has passed an ordinance in this direction, which will be taken into consideration by the state while framing the law.

“CM Yediyurappa has agreed to this and the issue was also discussed during the BJP executive meet held recently in Mangaluru. There is no opposition to the same in the government,” he said.

Taking a jibe at former CM Siddaramaiah for his statement that Love Jihad had been there since the Mughal era, Bommai said that it seems like Siddaramaiah is still living in the Mughal era.
