Jewellery worth lakhs of rupees stolen from judge’s home

Udupi: Jewellery worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from the residence of the District Court Judge C. M. Joshi.

According to the complaint filed by the judge’s wife, Shailaja Joshi, on December 15, the theft occurred between August 11 and November 28. The total value of the stolen jewellery is Rs 4,80,000.

Judge Joshi informed that the jewellery was stolen from his Ajjarakadu farmhouse. The jewellery was placed on the shelves in the house, to be kept in the bank locker at a later date.
