Udupi: Udupi district Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh has announced a holiday for schools and colleges on Saturday, October 26, owing to an alert from the Meteorological Centre, Bengaluru.
It can be recalled that over the last three days, there has been heavy rainfall across the coastal districts of Karnataka due to an atmospheric depression over the Arabian Sea.
The Indian Meteorological Department and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center have forecast heavy rainfalls accompanied by strong winds over the next three days in the coastal districts of Karnataka.
