Mumbai: The Mumbai Cricket Association removed a prominent advertising billboard of the rising star Virat Kohli, when it was learnt that it overshadowed the senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) supporting veteran Tendulkar who is playing his farewell match, the 200th Test match on Thursday November 14 did not want Tendulkar to feel offended by any means thus got rid of the billboard displaying Virat Kohli.
The MCA instead has displayed 51 different pictures of Tendulkar with his Test centuries inscribed on rectangular billboards felicitating him.
Earlier the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) had made a few blunders during Tendulkar’s 199th Test match at Kolkata. The billboard spelt Sachin’s name as ‘Sachine’ and referring to his wife Anjali as ‘Mr’ Anjali Tendulkar which was quite embarrassing.
On his farewell match, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni presented a cap to Tendulkar after which Tendulkar led the team out to the field.
