New Delhi: Karnataka pacers Abhimanyu Mithun(5-31) and Vinay Kumar (2-37) shared seven wickets among them to bowl out Railways for a paltry 114 in their 2nd innings to set up a 136-run victory for their team in a Ranji Trophy Group B match here.

Chasing 251 for victory, Railways were never in contention to chase the target, losing wickets at regular intervals to lose by the huge margin.

In another match here, seamer Navdeep Saini (4 for 48) and off-spinner Shivam Sharma (3 for 40) helped Delhi beat Rajasthan by an innings and seven runs. Opener Siddharth Saraf’s valiant effort (88) wasn’t enough to make Delhi bat for the second time as he didn’t get the necessary support from his team-mates.

At Kanpur, Mumbai beat Uttar Pradesh by eight wickets owing to superb bowling spells from medium pacers Wilkin Mota (4/30) and Shardul Thakur (3/70). Their bowling efforts helped Mumbai dismiss U.P. for 161 in the second innings. Mumbai lost two wickets to reach the target of 98. Suryakumar Yadav (47 not out) led his team across the line.

At Pune, veteran Harbhajan Singh scored a quickfire half century (50 off 61 balls) to give Punjab a win over Maharastra by three wickets in a close contest.

Chasing 205, Punjab were in trouble at 68 for four but the experienced player teamed up with Gurkeerat Singh (73 not out) to bail out Punjab.
