Nanda Kishore, Shreyas will be part of Mysuru Warriors team

Mysuru: In the talent hunt conducted by NR Group the owner of Mysuru Warriors, Nanda Kishore from Jo Jo Cricket Club and N Shreyas from MUCSC have been selected.
The talent hunt which was held at SDNRW ground on August 17 saw active participation from Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagara and Chamarajanagar.  Around 92 players turned out for the hunt in which 40 bowlers, 14 batsmen, 30 all-rounders and 8 wicket keep cum batsmen participated. At the end of the initial rounds, 24 players were shortlisted who were further divided into two teams for a T20 match.

The selected players underwent series of practice sessions from which two players were chosen to represent Mysuru Warriors team. The selectors after going through overall performance of the participants, at the end selected Nanda Kishore of Jo Jo Cricket Club and N Shreyas from MUCSC. Both the players will play for Mysuru warriors and represent the team in the upcoming Karbonn Smart KPL 2016 powered by Cycle Pure Agarbathies. They will start practicing in the practice session with the Mysuru Warriors team which is scheduled between August 28 to September 14.

Speaking about the players selected, Arjun Ranga, Owner, Mysuru Warriors & Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies said, “Our state is blessed with great sporting talent. Through this talent hunt, we intended to spot good cricketers from rural Karnataka and provide them a platform to grow and prove themselves. In fact, the enthusiasm and passion for the game from the region has prompted us to request KSCA to increase the number of players that can be selected from the region in the next KPL.”

Commenting on the selection process, Rx Murali, Head Coach, Mysuru Warriors said, “The response to the selection process was heartwarming. The region is a votary of great cricketing talent. It was extremely difficult for us to select players as each and every player was good. We wish both the selected as well as the other players all the very best.”
