Mysore: It was a befitting tribute to Scion of Mysore Royal Family Srikanta Datta Narasimharaja Wadiyar as the city’s franchise Mysore Warriors owned by Cycle Pure Agarbathies emerged as the champions of Karbonn Smart Karnataka Premier League-2014 that concluded yesterday in Hubli.

The tournament witnessed some of the best cricketing moments and also gutsy fight between the teams.

Mysore Warriors, who had lost two matches in the league stage to Mangalore United and Belagavi Tuskers, came back strongly to win the tournament defeating the defending champions Mangalore United and Belagavi Panthers in semi-final and final respectively.

The young side led by Manish Pandey was considered to be the best team on papers and the team lived up to the expectations to emerge as the champions of the premier tournament.
