Mysore: In the seventh match of the ongoing KPL tournament, Belagavi Panthers easily defeated the rockstars team led by Kiccha Sudeep. Chasing a huge score of 215 to win, the rockstars crumbled under the pressure and ended up at 118 all out in 16.3 overs.
Rajeev looked very promising for the Rockstars during the chase, scoring 41 off just 22 balls. However at an unlucky moment, he got run-out at the non-strikers end. Sudeep also displayed amazing batting skills by hitting a slew of sixes and boundaries. However, the long hours of keeping behind the wickets did take its toll on Sudeep, as he experienced a muscle catch while batting and was seen limping later on. In an excellent display of sportsmanship, Sudeep walked off LBW even before the umpire could take a call.
B Naveen was the pick of the bowlers for the Belagavi Panthers as he snatched 3 wickets for just 16 runs, followed by Gowtham K who also took 3 wickets and conceded 28 runs. S Hoover also picked up a wicket and conceded 13 runs.
