While hardcore cricket fans all over the world were gearing up for the much-awaited India-Pakistan match in the World Cup 2019, fellow cricketer Chris Gayle chose to show his enthusiasm for the clash in his own way.

In his Instagram post, Gayle is seen dressed to the nines in a white suit, each sleeve and lapel sported the colours of the rival teams’ flags. The right side of his “India-Pakistan Suit” was splashed with the tricolour and the left sported the colours of Pakistan’s flag.

His Instagram post read, “Yup! I’m rocking my india Pakistan Suit, all love and respect!… I really love it and this will be one of my outfit at my birthday party September 20th… its lit.

In the match, that began this afternoon, Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the toss and asked India to bat first in their World Cup group stage encounter at the Old Trafford.

“We will bowl first. It has been raining, so the conditions are good for bowling. We have quality spinners and we backed them today. We are not thinking about 6-0,” Sarfaraz said at the toss, referring to India’s unbeaten record against Pakistan at the World Cup.

Since 1992, Pakistan has lost six World Cup matches to India.

Currently, India has five points from three matches after defeating Australia and South Africa. Their match against New Zealand, however, was washed out.
