Shivamogga: The state priests’ association conducted special prayers in the form of traditional Homa and Havana in the city’s Veerashaiva Kalyana Mantapa, for the political crisis in the state to be resolved and Bharatiya Janata Party State president B S Yeddyurappa to be sworn in as the next chief minister.
The special prayers for BSY have been going on since Wednesday, July 17 morning in other parts of the state like Mandya, Gavi Gangadareshwara temple In Bengaluru and Shikaripura as well.
Yedyurrappa’s daughter Aruna Devi, son and MP B Y Raghavendra’s wife Tejaswini and son Subhash, district BJP leaders Subhash, Jyothiprakash, corporators Dheeraj Honnavile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders Deendayal, Ballakere Santhosh among others also participated in the prayers.
State priests’ association president H G Nagaraj Shastri said that about 25 priests conducted the prayers.
