Shivamogga: A man surrendered to the police after stabbing his wife multiple times in Mallighatta, Shivamogga on Friday, January 3. The accused has been identified as Armugam, who works at the Palace Hotel near the KSRTC Bus Terminal.
It is said that the incident is a result of Armugam’s suspicions of his wife Anjali.
About a month ago, Armugam is said to have gone to Tamil Nadu and returned to his house today morning. Upon his return, he reportedly locked the door and fought with his wife inside. When Anjali’s father paid them a visit, he found that no one was answering the door and broke it down only to find his daughter laying in a pool of her own blood.
She was rushed to the Metro Hospital and in the meantime, Armugam approached the Mallighatta Police Station to surrender himself. He is said to have stabbed Anjali in the back, arms and legs with a knife.
Speaking to reporters, police officers said that an investigation is underway.
