Going above party gives temporary success: Eshwarappa hints at CM BSY

Shivamogga: Whoever grows beyond the party will only succeed temporarily, said Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj K S Eshwarappa.

“This fact is applicable to everyone, whether it is Siddaramaiah from the Congress, BSY from the BJP or Kumaraswamy from the JD(S). The Congress party is suffering from the negative effects of Siddaramaiah speaking indifferently about the party to the media,” he told reporters here.

“Muniyappa says that Ramesh Kumar was the reason for his defeat in the Congress party. However, in the Vidhan Sabha, Siddaramaiah and Kumar sat next to each other and had discussions. Siddaramaiah does not consider such things to be anti-party activities. This is the bad luck of Siddaramaiah’s party,” he added.

Eshwarappa further said, “That is why such people only enjoy success temporarily. It is important to highlight the party’s work when it was in power. The party worker can also grow along with the party’s growth. This is especially relevant to Kumaraswamy and Yediyurappa.”

Recently, the state government’s order to carry out a power project survey at Sharavathi sparked protests among environmentalists and wildlife enthusiasts. When asked about this, Eshawarappa replied, “There are many taluks in the state that do not have proper electricity. It is important to ensure that people have all the basic facilities and electricity is one of them.”

“There are several villages along the Sharavathi river itself that do not have electricity. It is the government’s duty to provide them with electric power. No government wants to destroy forests and endanger wildlife,” he added.
