Shivamogga: Several district labour unions, in support of the nation-wide protest, came out onto the streets on Wednesday, January 8, protesting against the privitization of the public sector and many other Central Government policies, with the slogan “Save Public Sector”.
The protesters said that Central Government has made the labour community helpless.
They demanded labour courts in every district, eradication of anti-economic policies, job security for labourers, wage revision etc.
Different labour unions which joined the agitation outside the Deputy Commissioners office blocked the roads and protested.
Several labour union leaders were also part of the protest.
