Shivamogga: A campaign was launched by the district Congress office in order to send out a message to the party high command to retain Rahul Gandhi as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president, here on Thursday, May 30.
Speaking on the occasion, District Congress President H S Sundresh said, “The party has a historic background. Winning and losing is a part of the electoral process. Rahul Gandhi is the only person who stood against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pin pointed faults of his administration. Hence, he must take back his resignation that intends to submit fearing the blame of performing badly in the 2019 general elections.”
“We urge that his resignation be not accepted by AICC”, he added.
