Shivamogga: The women’s wing of the Karnataka Congress staged a protest against the rise in onion prices and domestic LPG cylinders in Shivamogga on Friday, January 10.
The agitators wore garlands made of onions, drew rangoli on the road and cooked food using firewood. Their placards compared the price of cylinders during the reign of the Congress at the Centre with the prices during the BJP’s rule.
It can be recalled that the price of domestic LPG has been hiked by Rs 19 as of January 1.
