Shivamogga: “The high command of our party will decide on the list of the candidates for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections. There was nothing wrong in the Congress leaders demanding MP seats. The Janata Dal (S)–Congress coalition will work together and campaign this time, for which decisions will be taken after January 26”, said former MLA from Soraba Constituency Madhu Bangarappa here on Thursday, January 17.
Addressing a press meet he said, “Regarding the ‘monkey fever’ the coalition government is taking necessary actions. Though the government is taking actions, the chief minister should atleast visit the district once to assess the situation and provide relief funds to the family of the deceased and also who are being treated.”
He said that the district in-charge minister had given funds from his personal account and that the officers were coordinating and working exceptionally towards the implementation of necessary facilities.
Meanwhile, he criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party for conducting ‘Operation Lotus’ and termed it as “Murder of democracy.”
Madhu said, “Instead of doing this, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi has any shame, let him waive off the farmers’ loans.”
“PM Modi is one of the biggest liars. Atleast now the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and people of this nation should teach BJP a lesson”, he criticised.
He said that CM Kumaraswamy was more approachable than B S Yeddyurappa and that the BJP would not be successful in its attempts to destabilise the coalition government.
Madhu sarcastically said, “If somebody has to be honoured with a doctorate for flop operation, then it is BSY.”
