Bengaluru: MLC, former MP, MLA, and minister Ayanur Manjunath’s daughter is entering into wedlock in a mass marriage event. Instead of any elaborate celebrations, the Manjunath-Manjula couple decided to perform ‘Kanyadan’ ritual along with other 99 pairs in this mass marriage ceremony in which several VIPs including Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa will take part.
Shamathmika, daughter of the couple will mary Mahendra in this mass marriage, which will be held on January 30 in Shivamogga city.
As many as 99 other pairs will also enter the wedlock in the same mass marriage ceremony, which is being organised by Dharmashri Seva Trust.
KG Kumaraswamy, ex MLA and a close friend of Manjunath informed that Ayanur Manjunath will bear the expenses of all the 99 other pairs. Every pair and their family members will be given new clothes.
It can be recalled that Tirthahalli MLA Araga Jnanendra also performed his son’s marriage a few months ago in a mass marriage.
