Shivamogga: Nithyananda from Guddekeri was on his way to Mahaveera Goshala on Wednesday, when he stopped his pick-up van to answer nature’s call. As he got off the vehicle and went near an abandoned bus shelter, he could smell something obnoxiously foul that forced him to cover his nose. As he looked around, he spotted a mentally imbalanced lady sitting in the bus shelter.
The lady, who was barely clothed, had no sense of what was around her. The stink was evidently emanating from her body, but unlike many others who ignored the lady, Nithyananda spotted her and decided to help her out.
Without thinking twice, he rushed her to the Mcgann Hospital in Shivamogga.
“The lady has no idea about her identity. She has been in such a sad state that nobody even bothered to make an attempt to help her out. I did try to talk to her, but I could not understand what she was saying,” said social activist Nithyananda, who lamented that a place like Mandagadde has lost humane people and has been reduced to being a place to relish fish delicacies.
The hospital authorities have started treating the lady.
While some say that the lady speaks Bengali, it is not yet confirmed. However, many have appreciated the deed of Nithyananda, who came as a saviour for the lady.
