Tulu film ‘Rickshaw Driver’ to soon hit silver screens

Mangalore : The  much awaited Tulu film ‘Rickshaw Driver’ considered one of the big budget Tulu films will hit theatres soon.

The film produced under the banner Sri Muthu Films Productions  revolves around autorickshaw drivers as the name suggests and  depicts how autorickshaw drivers are helpful to the  society. It also has a message of communal harmony.

Karthik Banjan( Karthik Banjan) is the hero of the film  while Sara Sharma from Mumbai (Telugu actress) and Neha Saxena from Delhi (Kannada, Telugu actress) are the lead heroines.

Senior Kannada actors Avinash and Padmaja Rao, Chitra Shenoy and Suresh also have prominent roles in the film and this is for the first time they have donned grease paint for a Tulu film.

As for the rest, the film has Jenny, a belly dancer from Russia, Tulu’s comedy kings Naveen D Padil in a double role, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Satish Bandale and Aravind Bolar  will as usual  enthrall Tuluvas with their comedy scenes. Some of the highlights of the movie are the  African dance of Naveen D Padil and Arvind Bolar’s ‘open Gangam style’ dance.

The melodious songs of the films are sung by Udit Narayan, Shanker Mahadevan, Priya Himesh of Ringa Ringa fame, Malathi of Ah Ante Amalapura fame, and Kannada singers including Rajesh Krishnan, Chaitra, Baby Hiranmayi and Mangalorean Anita D’Souza. The songs are already a hit and the ‘Udal Kadal’ song has been viewed by over 1,00,000 viewers in  six days.

Praveen Kumar Konchady is the producer who has also authored the  script, story and screenplay.  His first movie ‘Ekameva’ had won  an international and state award. The Assistant Producer of the film is Santhosh Kumar Konchady. Hu. Su Rajashekhar of Oriyardori Asal fame is the director while music is by Wahab Saleem Puttur and action by Kaurav Venkatesh. The songs and dance scenes have been  choreographed by  the well-known  Madan-Harini. Niranjan Babu Bangalore and Vijay Crasta Melkar are the  cameramen and art is by Keshava Suvarna.
