Kannada releases like “Love Mocktail” and “Dia” are ruling the streaming platforms. Many viewers were also expecting “Shivaji Surathkal” to follow suit, however, director Akash Srivatsa and the producers have decided not to release the film on any digital platform.
They will be re-releasing the film after the lockdown ends.
Before the coronavirus scare, the film was running across 70 screens to excellent collections. They are confident that they will earn more after theatres open once again.
Exhibitors have also requested the makers of Ramesh Aravind’s film not to release the film on digital platforms. Meanwhile, Akash has started to write the sequel to his film.
