Much to the dismay of Darshan’s Hindi-speaking fans, the release of the Hindi version of ‘Kurukshetra’ has been delayed.
The filmmakers were initially planning to simultaneously release the film in five languages, however, movie distributor Rockline Venkatesh, while at a press conference, said that the film will only be released in two languages (Kannada and Telugu) on August 9.
The heavy rains that have been lashing Mumbai and north India are said to be the main reason for the delay since people are less likely to visit movie theatres during such a time. Additionally, there are several Bollywood films that are also hitting the box office at the same time. Taking all these factors into consideration, Rockline Venkatesh has decided to postpone the release of the film.
However, the Tamil and Malayalam versions are expected to be out next week. There are also plans to promote the film aggressively after its release.
The film, which is directed by Naganna and produced by Muniratna, features Darshan as Duryodhana.
