D Satya Prakash’s debut film ‘Rama Rama Re’ was a success at the box office, and also received good reviews from film critics. However, his second film ‘Ondalla Eradalla’ which was released in 2018 did not make it at the box office. There were some technical glitches while screening the film in some places, and the screening was stopped for two days. Reportedly, the makers of the film had also faced issues with its ticket booking app.
All these factors led to the film faring poorly in box office, even though critics called it as a cult classic. ‘Ondalla Eradalla’ won ‘Critics Choice Film Awards’. It was adjudged as the best film in Kannada for the year 2018, and the award was received by producer Umapathy Srinivas, director Satya Prakash and cinematographer Lavith in Mumbai.
The award and the remake rights offered to filmmakers of other film industries has re-ignited the interest in the film, and in all likelihood, the film might see a re-release soon.
The film stars Rohit Pandavpur and Sai Krishna Kudla in lead roles, and the music is composed by Vasuki Vaibhav and Nobil Paul.
