Rachel David of “Irupathiyonnaam Noottaandu” and “Oronnonnara Pranayakadha” fame is now ready to debut in Sandalwood with the film “Love Mocktail 2” directed by Krishna.
“I am very happy to be entering the Kannada film industry with ‘Love Mocktail 2’. I’m very excited and look forward to starting the shoot,” said Rachel.
Speaking further, the Malayalam actress said that the chance to play the lead role in “Love Mocktail 2” is the best thing she has received during the corona pandemic and lockdown.
“I had seen ‘Love Mocktail’, which was released on a popular OTT platform. I liked it as it was a novelty in terms of love and friendship,” she said.
Produced by Krishna and Milana Nagaraj, the film has resumed shooting. Rachel will join the set when the next schedule resumes. “Love Mocktail” is an emotional romantic drama but the sequel has a lot of comedic elements.
Sushmitha, who is the funder of a hair oild company, will also be making her acting debut with “Love Mocktail 2”.
The music for the film is being composed by Raghu Dixit and cinematography and editing are by Sri CrazyMindz.
Rachel, who has appeared in four Malayalam films so far, opines that apart from the language, film production is the same in every way regardless of the industry. “The only difference I expect is the shooting of a newbie. It’s common in all industries,” she says.
Meanwhile, Rachel has signed up for Malayalam movie “Kaaval” starring Suresh Gopi. “I will be working on ‘Kaaval’ and ‘Love Mocktail 2’,” she added.
