Yash starrer KGF became the first Kannada origin film to release in Pakistan. The film’s Hindi-dubbed version hit Pakistani theatres on 11 January and is garnering good response. Social media in Pakistan is abuzz with reviews of the film doing round.
This is the first Kannada film getting screened in Pakistan officially. Before this, there was a talk about Pawan Kumar’s Lucia being released. However the film did not get theatrical release. Pakistan has been a big market for Hindi films, as audience love Hindi films there.
Meanwhile, KGF has completed 25 days. The film, which released on December 21 has broken each and every existing record in Sandalwood. It has grossed more than Rs 200 crores, with half of it coming from Karnataka. The film also has beaten Baahubali 2’s collection in Karnataka and ended up being the highest grossing film in Karnataka.
