Mangaluru: Kannada movie ‘Anukta’ produced by Harish Bangera and directed by Ashwath Samuel, under the banner of Deyi Productions will hit the silver screen on February 1.
The film will be screened at over 80 theatres all over the state. Karthik Attavar, Sangeetha Bhat, Sampath Raj, Anu Prabhakar are playing the lead roles in this movie. The speciality of this film is, it’s whole team is from Tulu Nadu. The story is based on the customs and traditions of Tulu Nadu and also sheds light on the spirit worship of Tulu Nadu. Besides that, religious beliefs of Tulu Nadu become the plot for a murder mystery.
The producer of the film Harish Bangera, basically from Udupi district, who is residing now in Dubai, told reporters at PVR, Forum Fiza Mall on Saturday, January 26 that the film would definitely create a history in the Kannada film industry.
The meaning of ‘Anukta` is an untold story. Though the story of ‘Anukta’ is little bit similar to the murder incident of Anupama Shetty which happened in the coastal region in the year 1992, it is not based on this case, informs the director of the film Ashwath Samuel. “The film has four songs, written by Keerthan Bhandary which is already a hit in YouTube. The trailer of the film also received a good response from the public”, he informed.
Karthik Attavar, the hero of this film said that it was his first film in Sandalwood. He played a lead role in a Tulu film ‘Rickshaw Driver’, which has helped him to gain much name and fame. After watching the trailer of the movie, popular Tulu film director Richard S Castelino predicted that ‘Anukta’ film would definitely secure a national award. ” This film can be screened in international film festivals also”, he informed.
The story is written by Santhosh Kumar Konchady and Karthik Attavar. The music is composed by Nobin Paul.
