“Bell Bottom” fame director Jayathirtha is fully focused on his new movie “Banaras” staring Zaid Khan and Mangalorean beauty Sonal Monteiro as the leads. Jayathirtha himself has written the story for the flick.
The shooting for the dialogues has already been completed and the shooting of the songs is in progress.
Of the two songs, one has been completed as is meant to be very attractive. Eight sets were used to shoot one of the romantic songs for which there was a month-long preparation. Zaid Khan, who is the son of Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed, and Sonal Monteiro have put their best in these songs, which are expected to become a big hit in the coming days.
The song is very important in the movie and therefore, it has been made special by using Indian traditional, western, and folk styles. The art director made a Roman set, a replica of Hampi, a folk set etc. for the song which was shot in eight days. As the song starts with the lines ‘Belakina Kavithe’, has been made very colourfully.
V Nagendra Prasad has scripted the songs and A Harsha has done the choreography. B Ajaneesh Loknath has composed the music and Advaitha Gurumurthy is the cinematographer.
One more song will be shot once the COVID rules are relaxed more and the editing and dubbing work will also be completed.
