Bengaluru: It is “Rebel Star” Ambareesh’s 69th birth anniversary and his fans celebrated the same in a simple manner amidst lockdown.
Several events are planned in his home district Mandya.
Ambareesh, who was born on May 29, 1952, died on November 24, 2018 after brief period of illness.
Ambareesh’s wife, Sumalatha, an actress and Mandya MP tweeted with the hash tag #Ambareesh68 to mark the occasion.
She wrote: “He (Ambareesh) would have turned 68 today. But fate decided he would remain eternal. The man whose heart was as large as the universe itself. Proud to have walked a few steps along with him in life.”
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and others also recalled their association with Ambareesh through tweets.
