The remake rights for K S Ashoka’s directorial “Dia”, which received critical acclaim, as well as audience feedback, is now in great demand. Producer Krishna Chaitanya has received at least 60 calls from filmmakers who are showing an interest in remaking the film in their respective languages.
However, the production house is yet to sell the rights. It is learnt that a producer has offered a huge amount of money for the right to remake the film in all languages and apparently, Krishna will soon take a decision in this regard.
A popular Telugu distributor based in the USA has asked Krishna to dub the film in Telugu and release it in America. He is confident that the film will appeal to the Telugu audience in the States.
“Dia” is the second outing of director Ashoka after “6-5=2”. The romantic-thriller, which was widely appreciated, features Kushee, Pruthvi Ambar and Deekhsith.
