Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his team met with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to seek their help as the Telugu industry and chamber have opposed the release of “Roberrt” in the Telugu language on March 11.
As is becoming customary for multilingual films to be released with their dubbed versions simultaneously, the team of “Roberrt” announced that the film would be released on March 11, along with its dubbed versions (including in Telugu).
The Telugu film chamber has asked the team to postpone the release of their film by a week or two as a number of Telugu language films will be released on that day and want these films to get prominence.
Speaking to the media before meeting with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Darshan said, “We respect their announcements of big films and also allow them to release their films as planned. While I can manage as I have done 50 films, such blocks will affect the plans of younger actors who have spent a lot on their film’s release. We should look into the issue and see how we can resolve it amicably.”
It is yet to be seen how the Karnataka film chamber will respond.
“Roberrt” is one of the most anticipated films abd has been shot on a large scale.
