Bengaluru: After spending 144 days in prison for her involvement in the drug scandal that rocked the Kannada film industry, Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi has finally been released on bail.
Even though Ragini was granted bail by the Supreme Court three days ago, she was able to leave Parappana Agrahara till late on Monday night.
“Satyameva Jayate,” was her first statement to the media upon her release.
“I will hold a press meet soon and explain everything in detail. I am grateful to my family and friends who stood by me this whole time,” she added.
It can be recalled that Ragini was arrested on September 4, 2020 in connection with the Sandalwood drugs scandal. She has been lodged at the Parappana Agrahara since even though she had applied for bail several times.
