Sandalwood actress Sharmiela Mandre and some members of her family have tested positive for COVID-19.
The actress informed about the development on her Twitter handle.
She added that they are showing mild symptoms are have chosen to quarantine themselves at home. “I have quarantined myself and going through the prescribed treatment as per my doctor’s advice,” she said.

Apart from Sharmiela, actress-turned-politician Sumalatha Ambareesh, actor Dhruva Sarja and his wife, and Aishwarya Arjun had also tested positive for the disease recently.
Meanwhile, Sharmiela has turned producer and is collaborating with “Kahi” fame director Arvind Sastry on a new film, the poster for which was released recently. The film has been titled “Dasara”.
Sathish Ninasam will be starring in the film and dancer and actress Rukmini Vijayakumar plays a pivotal role. The team, reportedly, shot for the same in the United Kingdom last year.
