The Dakshina Kannada district administration has ordered to provide the first dose of Covid vaccination for those travelling abroad. NRI Kannadigas have appreciated this step of district administration.
On May 30 NRI Kannadigas had interated with DC Rajendra KV via video conference, organised by DK district red cross society.
The main topic of discussion in the video conversation was about emergency vaccination for non-residents. With thousands of people from the Dakshina Kannada district working abroad, especially in the Gulf countries, many residents who have left the country fear that the two-dose vaccine will make it impossible for them to return home in the short term.
As soon as the Video conference ended, the DC office issued the first vaccine for 402 people registered with the Red Cross, prompting them to register a vaccine for non-residents.
As of now, From Monday, June 14, District Commissioner has ordered all health centers including primary health and urban health centers in Dakshina Kannada district in this regard.
