Riyadh: Abdul Majeed, hailing from Mallur in Mangaluru was admitted in Al Shumaisi Hospital, Riyadh, due to serious illness. Messages seeking help for his treatment from the village brethren had gone viral on social media, responding to which the Indian Social Forum (ISF) came forward to help Abdul Majeed.
The Riyadh representatives of Indian Social Forum who met a stroke effected Abdul Majeed in the hospital realized that there was an immediate need to send Majeed back to his native for further treatment. They then had talks with Majeed’s Saudi sponsor Kapil in this regard.
Kapil, who wholeheartedly responded to the forum, provided the necessary documents for Majeed’s return to his home town, after which the forum approached the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to issue the visa and white passport for Majeed. After a dedicated perseverance of the Indian Social Forum, the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia issued the necessary documents for Majeed’s travel back to his native.
Abdul Majeed is now back in Mangaluru from Damam with his travel expenses covered by his sponsors and with help of Indian Social Forum.
